The unspoken language of clothes is an expression of a person’s feelings and emotions. A constant evolution and a quest for balance, harmony and unity. Antoniya’s approach to fashion is very personal, complementing one’s personality and lifestyle. Creating a garment for her is a journey and an exploration of ourselves, a creation of a relationship between the garment, the wearer and the designer

Her aesthetics consists of clean lines, refined and modern shapes, contrasting textures, unique but wearable pieces. Stylistic equilibrium between light and shadows, fluidity and structure, natural and man-made, past, present and future.

She believes that besides being a form of personal expression fashion should benefit society by raising awareness of existing social issues. She has created collections for fundraising shows for Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, Open Hands, San Francisco Food Bank and Room to Read. Her garments have been featured on NBC11 morning show and ABC.

In addition to her patternmaking, draping and construction skills she is also a professional makeup artist and has worked behind the scenes at fashions shows for Oscar de la Renta, Saks Fifth Avenue, San Francisco Fashion Week and Effection.

Originally from Bulgaria, she is currently living in San Francisco and is completing her degree in Fashion Design from the Art Institute of CA, San Francisco.

Hope you enjoy exploring her pieces as much as she enjoys creating them…
